Good To Cure Stomach Acid Problems Naturally

By William Lagadyn

Stomach acid is very essential to the human body. The food that is consumed is acted upon in the stomach by an acid called gastric acid. It is broken down and digested to be absorbed by the body. At times, this gastric acid may cause problems leading to digestive disorders. If the level of gastric acid is more, it will result in gastric ulcers or heartburn. People begin to experience some discomfort in the chest region which may subside after taking antacids. It is a burning sensation that occurs periodically.

Proton Pump Inhibitors are designed to cut off the acid production in your stomach which reduces stomach pressure, and therefore you experience less reflux and the resulting heartburn. The problem with this course of treatment is the drug actually stops your body from absorbing calcium from the foods you consume, in order for your body to function properly.

Therefore, the amount of calcium in the body is reduced. When the body requires calcium, it will draw from teeth and bones. This results in osteoporosis which is a disease condition. The bone mineral density is reduced making the bones brittle and prone to fractures.

Added to this, the medicines also disrupt digestion. As there is undigested food remaining in the stomach, the pressure increases there. This leads to other medical problems like increased acidity level, etc.

Certain foods are known to cause gastric problems. They are spicy foodstuffs, alcohol, soft drinks, beverages, etc. People should avoid junk food and increase the intake of fruits and vegetables which are rich in proteins and vitamins and help to maintain good health. They build strength and increase resistance to diseases.

One of the tests for determining acidity is by using the litmus paper. This can be done at home. Litmus paper is available at all health food stores.

The final test result should be around a value of 7.3 to 7.4 which is slightly alkaline. The suitable timings of tests are in the mornings and evenings.

Blood Pressure To High

By Bret Finnego

Blood pressure is an important part of our bodies workings. If you have high blood pressure then you are at risk form a stroke or heart attack. So we should have our blood pressure checked at least once per year and more often if you know that there is a history in your family of high blood pressure.

Our hearts are beating continually and as they beat they pump blood around our bodies through our blood vessels. Blood pressure is the force against these blood vessels made by the blood as it is pumped. So the heart pattern is pump rest, pump rest and so on. When the heart pumps the pressure of the blood in our arteries is at its highest and this is the systolic pressure which represents the first reading of our blood pressure. When the heart rests this is the diastolic pressure which represents the second reading of our blood pressure.

There are two numbers that make up your blood pressure reading and a normal blood pressure reading for an average healthy adult would be 120/80 this is spoken as 120 over 80. The 120 is you higher systolic pressure and the 80 is your lower diastolic pressure. Any higher result than this and your blood pressure would be desrcibed by your Doctor as high.

Say that your result was 145/95 then your blood pressure would be classed as high. Your Doctor may ask questions about your lifestyle to see if any changes can be made to remedy your high blood pressure reading. You would then have to return to the Doctors office and have regular BP checks.

If after several visits to the Doctors office you are still getting high BP readings then you are at risk and the Doctor will stress how important it is to change your lifestyle to a healthier one ( if it isn't already ). It is possible to bring your blood pressure down naturally.

If you smoke or drink more than the advised units of alcohol or if you are over weight then this can be a cause for you blood pressure to be high, but there are other things that can cause high blood pressure. If you make some proper adjustments to your lifestyle then it is possible to lower your BP without drugs.

The alternative to bringing down high blood pressure naturally by lifestyle changes is medication. Your Doctor may decide that you will have to take drugs to lower your blood pressure to the normal level. There are plenty of different blood pressure medications to choose from.

It is best to work at bringing your blood pressure down naturally if this is possible as the use of medication does bring with it a combination of side effects.

Get your blood pressure checked as soon as possible if you haven't already, there are to many adults out there that have high blood pressure and don't even know it as there are rarely any symptoms. This is why it is known as the silent killer. Walking around day in day out with high blood pressure and doing nothing about it is like walking around with a ticking bomb.

How to Turn Persistence into Dynamite

By Ann Rusnak

Ever noticed that when youre working feverishly on a new idea you hit a point where it looks impossible? Its easy to become discouraged when you hit that wall, but that's not the place for discouragement.

Obstacles will obscure your idea causing you to focus loose sight of the bigger vision.

More people give up and quit at this point. They give into the discouragement created by those obstacles. Unaware a breakthrough lay over the horizon. The vehicle of persistence drives thought those barriers to make your idea a reality.

A persistent mindset enables you to continue firmly down the path.

"Just because something doesn't do what you planned it to do doesn't mean it's useless.... Reverses should be an incentive to great accomplishment. Results? Why, man, I have gotten lots of results! If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is just one more step forward.... There are no rules here, we're just trying to accomplish something." ~Thomas Edison

Thomas Edison had boasted he would invent a safe, mild, and inexpensive electric light. After spending $40,000, and performing 1200 experiments, he succeeded.

What if he quit at 1199? We would all be sitting in the dark!

Before you can have success, you will definitely have obstacles. Even the dictionary puts the word obstacle before success.

Obstacles strengthen you and measure your growing strength. When you misunderstand the purpose of struggles and obstacles, youll fall into discouragement. If you dwell on struggles, youll begin to question your goals and stop believing in yourself. Self-doubt will make you susceptible to the fear of criticism and criticism will stop you in your tracks. Your ideas and dreams will become mere fantasies instead of goals based on reality.

Good news... you can train yourself to develop a persistent mindset. This mindset empowers you to make a conscious decision to stay with it.

According to Napoleon Hill, 8 factors form persistence:

1. Definite purpose - know what you want.

2. An Intense Desire

3. Self-reliance - strong belief you can carry out your plan

4. Definite plans - written and organized

5. Accurate knowledge - knowing your plan is sound.

6. Cooperation - being with others who will help you develop persistence.

7. Will power - focus your thoughts on obtaining your goals.

8. Habit - persistence is a habit that can be consciously developed.

How to Develop Persistence

1. A written purpose is a must along with a burning desire to obtain it.

2. Have a plan of action. How will you make it happen. What do you need to do.

3. Watch your self talk. Negative self talk causes a lot of damage. Get rid of all negativity and discouraging influences in your life.

4. Form or join a mastermind group of positive minded people who encourage and hold you accountable on completing your actions.

Winston Churchill uttered this immortal words over 60 years ago that are still applicable today: "Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yielded to force; never yielded to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."

Believe in yourself. Believe in your goals. Stay focused. Never change your goal-just your plans, replace the plan if necessary, but not your goal.

Persistence must become a way of life if you want to succeed. By learning to overcome problems and barriers, you can become a tremendous person
