The Value Of Productivity

By Vicki J. Kidwell

Every one of us is hungry for success. Every one of us strives to be excellent. Every one of us aims for something bigger than one can ever imagine. To sum it all up, every one of us seek to make our lives worth living.

Perhaps this is the very reason why we all want to make something out of our lives. The reason why we wake up every day and work hard to achieve our hopes and dreams. At the end of the day, we all simply want to make sure that we do something productive, which will take us a step closer of where we wish to be.

Being productive is being able to accomplish something of worth every day, like the goals we've set for ourselves. Being productive encompasses being able to give the best in everything that we do and making sure that we always yield positive results. We all aim to be productive because productive is the key to success. But why is really productivity so important?

Being productive makes us do things not only the right way, but the best way. Through this, we use every second we have to do things which will take us closer to fulfilling our aspirations. We work very hard toward achieving our goals. By giving our all, we are given the assurance that the outcome will always be as what we wished it to be.

Being productive also lets us see the bigger picture. When we are fulfilling our tasks, it takes as a step closer to our ultimate goal, and thus, makes us closer to success. It gives us the vision of dream, inspiring us to work even harder to achieve that dream.

Being productive opens us to the realization that we are the ones responsible for our fate. We set our own goals and we work very hard by ourselves to achieve it. A productive person knows that nobody else can do his job better than himself. Therefore, we take full accountability from our actions. We take pride in our triumphs and we learn from our very own failures.

Being productive makes us better people. We know that we are living our lives for a purpose, and this purpose will come to realization when we are able to achieve all of the goals we set. We use the time we have to do things which will be beneficial not only ourselves, but also to others. Being productive makes us efficient, determined and strong-willed people. We have the confidence that we have everything it takes to reach the top.

We should all value being productive because it gives the inspiration to dream, the willpower and strength to pursue them no matter the cause, and most importantly, being productive makes us better people.
