The deadliest weapon in all the martial arts world is...the towel. This weapon is so deadly it should be outlawed. In fact, anybody caught with a towel in hand should be arrested and thrown into the darkest prison!
A towel, when properly utilized, can travel at unbelievable speeds. A mere flick of the wrist and the towels tip is going to exceed one hundred miles per hour! Even a bit of cloth, moving at such a speed, can create mighty welts and even split the skin.
The deadly towel can be made even deadlier by doing one simple thing. If one dips the tip of the towel into water, the towel can become even more cutting and cause even more pain. A tip dipped in water gains weight, and the integrity of the strike is increased multiple times!
The towel is also one weapon that can be easily hidden. Wrapped around the hips, it is hidden in plain sight! I mean, who in the world is going to scared of a naked body wrapped in towel?
The fact is, when wearing a towel is one of the time that you are most likely to be attacked. Muggers are going to feel pretty comfortable about attacking you when you have no visible sign of defense. Not having any means of defending yourself could be considered akin to asking for trouble!
If you have just been for a swim, or popped out of the shower, that is the time when you are most unarmed, and nobody is going to be scared of you. Being unarmed is the time when muggers are going to most eager to seek you out. That is the time when the big, bad mugger is going to want to attack you!
If you are wearing nothing a towel, and you are attacked, you dont need to look around for some means to defend yourself. All you have to give a severe jolt to the attacker is drop your towel! Then you start dancing around, snapping and flicking with great abandon, and your attacker will shortly be running, screaming, down the street!
What is funny is that you think I have just been joking around. Miyamoto Musashi, possible the greatest swordsman who ever lived, was once trapped in a bath house by a dozen armed thugs. All he had was a towel and his, huge talent, and he routed those muggers down the street and out of town!
