Familiar Drug Testing Brisbane, QLD

By Francis Riggs

Testing for illicit drugs is a complex process involving taking of biological specimens. They include urine, blood, air, breath components, sweat or other body fluids that are analyzed to establish whether there is are illicit preparations in them. The process is carried out in recruitment, for existing employees and in sports to check if they consume illegal medicines. Some of the illegal preparations are cannabis, heroine and the known drug testing Brisbane by the police to check alcohol content.

It is a topic hotly debated especially with the recent talks to make the test mandatory in high schools for those students wishing to take part in extracurricular activities. The right to individual privacy is the main issue raised by the opposer but still it is a challenge to critically analyze why the drugs are first of all found in the schools.

The tests can go a long way in helping teens. This is comprised in three major areas which include prevention of experimentation with the drugs by the teens. Secondly identification of those already using them and also others who may be struggling with addictions. Last but not least those in recovery programs can be helped to continue staying straight by provision of extra incentives.

The policy and those employed to do the process are not intending to invade the privacy of young adults. Their interest is to make the younger generation drug free. The incidence of violence reduces eventually because they will concentrate to finish school. They will have good living standards eventually.

A good question which everyone should ask themselves is whether it is such a burden or unreasonable asking the teens to surrender some privacy for greater assurances to their safety. The risks of any substance usage are profound and life threatening and it should not be hard to make the right choice on such matters.

Checking to see that there are no illicit preparations is not an answer to the main problem. It turns only to be used as an additional tool among many others that assist the parents to come in to affect behavior. The behavior affects physical, spiritual and emotional components of development in children. Change in behavior will make the children see the medicines as bad for their health.

Identifying that there are many children with this behavior in a school is a step. It should be followed by strategies to intervene and treat. When treatment comes early, it is more effective in changing behaviors and also in improving development process. Long term recovery occurs later.

All organization can find beneficial agreed policies relating to alcohol and substance abuse which apply to workers. Such policies should be a part the overall safety and health system management. The organization management team is encouraged to draft such policies involving the workers in the process too. They are applicable to everyone in the organization and the areas to be touched on include counseling, education, prevention and rehabilitation programs.
