A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep. Game Of Thrones, George R.R. Martin
We reside in a pretty rough world.
Every time someone rises in this world there are 100 wolves attempting to bring her down. They come out in packs with their piercing jagged teeth looking for techniques to destroy anything they can sink into... and regularly, they really are pretty successful in doing it. It's terrible what happens to people nowadays who are endeavoring to do something in this world. It doesn't matter if it's positive even, the wolves will always find a way. I guess this is the way that it's usually been? Maybe it'll always be this way.
But we need a new type of hero.
We need a lion who does not concern itself with the opinions of those sheep who have never tried and failed in the arena. That's the sort of hero we need. Not someone that was born great, but a woman or man who built themselves from the ashes in the chasm and who will constantly take a stand for what they truly believe in and what they really adore in this life.
Wouldn't that give the people something to root for? I suspect as a society we are deeply obsessed perfect figures - if that be a body or a type of personlity. We idealize this concept of perfection and yet there truly isn't such a thing. What we truly need is someone that admits deep imperfection and celebrates it. And, despite that deep sense of being flawed, tries to grow every day and bring light into the world.
We actually need someone who will rise above all the rubbish and take a stand for something larger than just wealth, sex, drugs, and so on. We need an ordinary man or woman - ready to be extraordinary in faith, love, and compassion.
