Understanding The Apostle Paul Teachings And Letters

By George Baker

To comprehend the concepts of early Christianity, there are several places those interested can do so. One of which is a free class "Early Christianity, The Letters of Paul, " which is a free online HarvardX course offered through the edX dot org website. For, the course offers a great deal of information on The Apostle Paul Teachings, transformation and related letters which the apostle wrote during that time.

There are also many resources related to the apostle including several papers which can be found online. Whereas, others prefer a more personal approach through a church or Sunday school program. There are also public and university libraries which offer a number of books related to these teachings.

Individuals who enjoy watching television, film and video can often find a number of programs related to the apostle. For example, there are several videos which are part of a HarvardX course through the edX dot org website. Those interested in more independent studies of the apostle and these teachings, can often check out a variety of materials related to the subject at local college and public libraries.

When it comes to the Bible which many believe to be the so-called Word of God, there are several books which hold these teachings. Most likely, these teachings were based on the few, and often difficult to read letters that were believed to be those written by Paul to the early Church. While this is the case, the letters alone do not prove the theory in a living Christ. Although, the letters do suggest that the apostle lived first as a Jew, then after seeing a vision of Christ, converted to Christianity.

When desiring to learn as much as possible about these teachings, the Bible also holds a great deal of information. Various teachings related to Paul can be found in the books of First and Second Corinthians, First Thessalonians, Galatians, Romans, Philippians and Philemon. While this is the case, the teachings in these scriptures still do not provide proof in an actual living Christ, or the resurrection, crucifixion, or ascension.

As with other artifacts, such as those found related to Moses and the Wilderness, none give proof to the story of Christ and salvation. For, when it comes to Paul, the story the apostle provides is based on a ghostly vision, not a reality. As such, the letters and stories still require Christians to live a faith based religion rather than one based on proof of the existence of Jesus Christ in physical form.

When it comes to finding truth in religion, each individual must follow a singular path. For, while there are often missionaries and others whom suggest there is only one way to heaven, no one knows for sure. As such, most often those involved in higher belief systems have a personal relationship with a higher power or powers. While most individuals follow the path of an ancestor or ancestors, others find a different path through personal experiences and religious studies.

For those subscribing to the Christian faith, this is often one related to Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Most beliefs in this regard are based on these early teachings of Paul that Jesus was born, died and rose again as proved by the visions and letters of the apostle. Whereas, the Holy Spirit is that which washes over and cleanses one of earthly sins once an individual becomes a believer and follows these and other related teachings.
