"How could you put that THING on our child? You are so impossible."
Amy glared at Craig.
He meekly answered, "But honey, you know how our child likes to take off. At least with this bungee leash we're assured he won't get away from us!"
"We're just taking Ryan to a kiddie park, not to the Westminster Kennel Club!" Amy answered.
The doorbell rang. Craig skulked over to open the door for Amy's best friend, Sarah, and her daughter, Ashley.
After one look at Ryan, Ashley tugged on Sarah's trouser leg and asked, "Is Ryan gonna play doggie?"
"Craig, leashing Ryan is absolutely not a good idea, he will not enjoy the kiddie park." Sarah picked her purse and took out a tiny plastic panda. "Here, good thing I brought an extra of this, you can use it."
Sarah showed to her friend how the Child Guard works. She was as worried as them about her daughter, but she didn't want Ashley to miss the fun in a crowded place. The Child Guard beeps, alerting the parents that their child has gone a few feet away.
"Mommy says I need to hold on to my kitty," Ashley said, while showing her cat-shaped Child Guard, tied in a ribbon around her neck.
"They're shaped like little pets, so the kids don't mind it when they're clipped to their clothes," said Sarah.
Craig was holding his panda shaped Child Guard and asked, "But, what happens if at the same time we are all using our Child Guards? How will we know what our kids are doing?"
"You will know what your kid is doing, because the Child Guard system looks around for a clearer frequency so it won't intervene with my system or anyone else's system." Sarah explained. "So, are we going to the park yet?"
At the park, the three parents relaxed on the park bench, while Ryan and Ashley had fun on a swing set with their pet shaped Child Guard dangling from their necks.
Ryan looked up at a cloud, hearing a familiar ice cream truck sound approaching into the park. As expected, a couple seconds later, Craig's Child Guard receiver beeped while attached to his key ring. And he then knew where his Ryan was going and he went to the ice cream vendor.
Amy saw Ryan and Craig both rushing their way to the ice cream vendor. It simply showed how her husband and son are alike, they really are indeed, "Like father, like son."
Craig hurried up and scooped his kid up on his dash to the ice cream. They saw another young kid trying to strain against the nylon harness, Craig then thought of thanking Sarah for giving him the great Child Guard wonder that saved him from disgrace and enjoy the afternoon at the park instead.
