Enjoyable Activities To De-Stress Your Weekend

By Jenny Harden

Some people go out on Saturday nights to de-stress from work while others want to stay home. This is why people are so different when it comes to dealing with stress. They have their own ways and staying at home might be good for your health if you try it once in a while.

Make weekends your "ME" time to enjoy. Run down to the spa and enjoy every second of it because you truly have earned it. You can also make the weekends a time for you to gather your friends and family for a dinner and talk about things rather than go out on your own. The decision is really up to you.

Probably the best advantage you have when you set a weekend aside from partying is that you get to save tons of money to buy the things that you really need. Drinks and door fees are one of the most pricey things you'll encounter on a Saturday night out.

Staying inside on a Saturday night might be healthy for you. You are away from all the booze and the late night visit to the fridge which will surely accumulate inside your already calorie-ladden body.

Take the Saturday night off from partying to prepare yourself for Sunday. Sunday can be really stressful for people as they will have to pick up the laundry, go to church, prepare for work tomorrow. But, if you have the entire Saturday to do it, then you can have another day free of stress.

Tell your friends that you want this weekend to be your time that you want to connect with yourself rather than be out there. Or simply tell them that you want to break out from the weekend routine once in a while and stay home. It is your life, and if you truly wish to not doing anything big and spectacular then you do not have to do it. This will not make you any less of a friend, just someone who wants to change it up a little bit.

Take the time to relax every once in a while. Saturday night is probably the most peaceful in your apartment or your neighborhood because people are out to clubs and parties. Take the time to turn on the TV and see a movie or you can easily read a book on the porch and enjoy the late night breeze.

And by leaving everything behind, you make your friends grow fond of you in which they will have to make plans the next weekend to celebrate your return.
