The Various Uses Of Lobby Signs For Business

By Olivia Cross

Businesses thrive on customer patronage. Customers patronize the businesses that they know about. Advertisement is therefore a crucial aspect of any business plan. Additionally, clients feel more comfortable in buildings that have sufficient information posted for directional and safety purposes. This is why it is important to use lobby signs for business promotion.

The lobby is one of the most highly trafficked areas in any building. This includes corporate offices as well as hotel buildings. Lobbies are the central meeting and waiting areas in most, if not all, buildings. This is what makes ads that are posted in these areas so effective.

Traditional advertisements may be posted in lobbies. These include ads posted on the walls. They do two things when they are used in this fashion. They enhance the appearance of the space and they help to market the company's products.

Motion advertisements are also ideal for lobbies. These are more modern and their very nature makes them appealing to those who visit lobbies even if the visits are restricted to short periods of time. The screens that display the motion advertisements are typically mounted high on walls in lobbies.

Signage in this area may also be used for directional purposes. They are great for informing the public about the locations of the different offices and departments within the building. They are also ideal for helping potential and existing customers find the products and services that they may need.

These signs may also be used for safety reasons. They can tell when the floor is wet and slippery or when an elevator is out of service. The use of signage for safety cannot be underestimated especially because they help to prevent accidents that may end up costing the organization hefty compensation fees.

CEOs and marketing experts often engage the services of professionals for the signage they use in their lobbies. This is especially necessary for the highly technical ones such as the digitized motion advertisement screens. They also use these external teams to maintain the signage when necessary.

Many companies have however, found a more economical means of getting this done. Instead of engaging the services of others, they try to identify and use the employees who are skilled and trained in these areas. Some management teams go as far as to ensure that during recruitment, they look specifically for potential employees who already possess the skills and experience required for these jobs. Others ensure that members of the associated departments such as marketing and maintenance are allowed opportunities for training in the area of sign creation and installation.
