Working in Spain is easy, but getting the job and visa to work is another thing. There are many requirements that need to complete before you can get a working visa. Nevertheless, for EU Nationals it is very easy to live and find jobs anywhere in Europe as they only need a valid passport. Non-EU residents needs to get a visa from the Spanish consulate in their country before they can visit or even work in the country. US, Canadian and Australians have a treaty with Spain that allows their nationals to enter Spain without a visa; the validity is good for only 90 days in every 6 months. However, if you want to continue staying and permanently work, you have to check with the embassy of Spain and ask for the process and documentation needed for you to stay in the country. The visa processing for employment usually takes 3 months, if your documents are complete.
The following documents are usually required by the Spanish consulate:

* Registry and Social Security Number of your Employer
* Certificate of No Criminal Record
* Valid Passport
