The Hero Our World Is In Need Of

By Evan Sanders

"A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep." Game Of Thrones, George R.R. Martin

We live in a pretty cruel world at times. While it does have its nurturing moments, we can't deny that things can be pretty rough around the edges.

While the world is challenging to live in, it's the people who challenge us even more. No matter the message, the light, the positivity or the good energy that you try to bring into the world there's a very strong and equal force that is going to try to bring you down.

It's unfortunate that our society is based upon gossip and bringing people down. What ever happened to supporting a cause and making the best out of things? No matter the movement, the cause, or the message, the wolves eventually find their way and attempt to bring these everyday heroes down. It's inevitable. It's to be excepted.

It's time for a new breed of hero.

The world needs a group of lions who are so deeply rooted in their principles and values that no matter the opposing force they cannot be taken down. We don't need people who are doormats, but rather individuals who are willing to fight for what they believe in. We need people who are willing to stand for an idea beyond themselves and not compromise on those beliefs.

The people of this world would finally have something to really root for.

Why is this important?

Because as a society we have lost our ability to believe in anything. It's not really our fault that every single time someone comes up in the world they fall for one reason or another. But if we have someone who understands that they aren't perfect and who doesn't attempt to be, couldn't that change the game?

What we truly need is someone who is willing to admit defeat and openly accepts the fact that it is part of the process. And, despite falling, they bring themselves back time and time again to their purpose of bettering the world and the people in it.

It's time there are people who take a stand for something greater than themselves.

It's time for extraordinary men and women to rise.

We need a new breed of everyday hero.
