Inspiring Proposal Ideas To Win An Affirmative Reply

By Rony Palmer

Proposing to your girlfriend - even a longtime one - needs a bit of imagination. After all, you can't just expect her to jump up in joy, cover you with kisses and say, "Yes!", although that's real possibility. You may have bought an expensive diamond ring, but that's no guarantee of success.

You could start with choosing the correct setting to ask the question you have been waiting to. Never forget that the correct time and place are of utmost importance. Setting matters quite a bit.

Perhaps there was a secluded corner on the beach where you made love the first time. Why not take her there and go down on your knees and pop up the question? She's more likely to say "Yes," when bombarded with sweet, exciting memories.

Or perhaps you could make it day filled with activities she loves really to do - such as boating or paragliding. Afterwards, you can causally produce the ring from your pocket and pop up the question over a can of beer.

To give the situation an air of added romance, you could exhibit your sensitive side by catering to her unspoken wish. You've been with her for years and you should know her secret yearning. Perhaps you could give her mother a really nice present. She'd really love that.

And then you could take her to a movie or a concert if she loves doing those things. An encounter with her favorite star would really light up the day for her. Wouldn't it be great if you could arrange such a thing?

You could even create the magic at home if that is what you think will work. Fill every room with delightful surprises and give her a surprise that's sure to bowl her over. That way she is also in a comfortable setting and not intimidated by anything.

In a room filled with confetti you could stick hand-written 'I Love You' posters on the refrigerator, with your proposal at the bottom? It's not what you do, but how you it that really makes the difference. If you stick to what you have confidence in, as well as ask the question with confidence, chances are thinks will work out just the way you wish.
