Read on.
I love using an Elliptical Trainer. You see, I have a bad knee from an old motorcycle accident. which prevents me from participating in high impact sports such as running, basketball and alike. For years I would try to start working out again and again, only to end my workout routine after a week or due to the pain. Not any more. The Elliptical Trainer has provided me with the ability to get my aerobic training done pain free in the comfort of my own home.
Determined to get back in shape. I started my own workout routine at home, around my families schedule. Push ups and sit ups mostly. Long walks when my wife and I could fit it in. I was starting to make some progress. I had lost about 10lbs or so, then winter hit. It got to be too cold and too much snow on the ground to get out and get the proper aerobic workout to meet my fitness goals.
My wife brought up the idea of a treadmill or something to that effect. I ruled out the treadmill right a way because I knew I couldn't run on it. Due to the pain in my knee. So I kept a look out for an affordable option in the classified adds. I found a person selling a Nortictrac not far away from where we lived. I had never used a Nortictrac before so the guy let me try it before a bought it. What a disaster! After about 5 minutes and nearly falling down once, I decided that the Nortictrac was not for me.
The home gym? I thought about a treadmill but I just couldn't see spending that kind of money just to go for a walk in my basement. "Maybe a Nortictrac." I said to myself. I found a used Nortictrac in the news paper and went to go have a look. The guy selling it was nice enough to suggest I give it a try. 5 minutes later and falling on my butt once, I came to the conclusion the Nortictrac was not for me.
Then one day as I was driving to the mall. My wife and I passed by a brand new Worlds gym. Looking though the big plate glass windows, we could see in the front row people on a machine I had never seen before. (I guess we need to get out more) You guessed it, we were looking at elliptical trainers.
I started to research the elliptical trainer. What I found was, the club class elliptical trainers were why too expensive. The home versions were just too flimsy and cheaply made. The quest came to an end when I found the Lifecore LC-985VG. A price I could afford, made of quality marital. This elliptical trainer can handle people of varied heights and weights with a max weight of 300lbs, 50lbs more than most elliptical trainers on the market. And the rest is history. I now work out 4 to 5 times a week and feel better than ever. I have less mood swings. I sleep better. Most of all my wife really seems to enjoy me more!
