Anniversaries are something to look forward to. For couples who have reached 40 to 50 years of marriage, the more they are worthy of a grand celebration including special presents.

There are modern types of gifts specifically given during anniversaries. Friends and family never to fail to give any type of these during anniversary, may it be the traditional type.

Anything special made of paper or cotton is the appropriate to give a couple reaching their 1st year of marriage. In the modern time however, something made of plastic is adequate.

During the couple's 50th year anniversary, most couple accumulates gold as both their traditional and modern gift. Every year they celebrate their anniversary, they get precious gems or metals as gifts. Only the couple shares the idea of gift giving but any gift they receive from their friends and relatives are highly appreciated.

While the couple's golden year anniversary center on gold as its theme, the 40th year anniversary focuses on ruby. A host can use red as a color theme for the party. Red wine and red blossom can also be used for this conspicuous event.

Gladiolus is the flower you should give for the 40th year. While in the 50th year, gorgeous yellow roses are expected. You can also take the time to make a scrapbook with lots of colorful trinkets especially colored red. You can put your old pictures and love letters yellowed by years to make it unique.

The 50th year anniversary; most frequently known as golden year anniversary centers on gold as its theme. Most souvenir ideas also revolve around gold. Gifts like gold jewelry, watch or anything made out of gold is best given.

The wife can also be very artistic by making a one of a kind scrapbook with the old pictures from their previous anniversaries and preserved red roses that she has kept for so many years. This is something so awesome to receive because it is priceless. The spouse will most probably boast it around every anniversary. If you are not in a tight budget though, try considering a cruise! That would surely make your 50th year beyond imaginable, don't you think?
