Blood Pressure Medication

By Bret Finnego

There are many stories about Blood Pressure Medication and there side effects, in fact any medication has stories about its side effects.

I bet there aren't many of us that read the info leaflet that comes with our medication and if we did, we would probably think that the potential side effects were harder to live with than the thing they were treating.

OK although there may be a list of side effects that comes with the medication you may only suffer from one or two of them. You may be really fortunate and not suffer with any at all. There must be another way to treat some health problems without the side effect infested medications.

So what about the other option for treating health issues, natural ones or the Drug Companies worst nightmare the Alternative medicines. Well the Drug Companies will tell anyone who wants tolisten that they don't work. Why, because it would threaten there massive income. They sell it hard to the Doctors and the Doctors give them out all to easily.

Blood Pressure Medication is no different to any other and I think there should be more attempts made to bring Blood Pressure down naturally before any drugs are dished out. There are lots of things that can be looked at in an individuals lifestyle that could bring there BP down to a normal level.

Our Governments release many campaigns about many important issues and that is great. In my opinion they should have a Blood Pressure campaign, the media is a powerful thing and they should be helping people to understand the dangers of undetected High Blood Pressure. There are to many people that are walking around unaware that they have High BP.

There are some simple steps that can be taken to help lower BP naturally which could avoid many having to take blood pressure medication, which would also mean they would avoid the dreaded side effects that lurk within the medication.

What you should be thinking about now is to get a Blood Pressure test, you might feel perfectly OK, but that doesn't mean that your Blood Pressure is normal. It can be high without you knowing. If it does happen to be high, the next thing to do is to search out the things that can reduce it without going onto prescribed drugs.

There are occassions when the Doctor may give you a very valid reason why you have to go onto prescibed Drugs to control your BP, this may be some reason like family history. But if there is no real valid reason then you have to have the chance of an alternative first.
