Help With Getting Ready For Risky Occasions

By Jaay A Housemore

I have made a decision to equip my own self with a self-defense weapon right after a near-scare last week. However I don't have a lot to spare by way of cash. I need to buy stun gadgets cheap however grab one that will defend me properly.

I still need to get comfortable with a unit that can cause short-term pain and other physical effects although I want stun weapons for being non-deadly. Besides, I was told these do not give irreversible harm. My objective, if caught in a perilous situation, would be to flee. A stun weapon is going to be my tool.

Two men emerged from the shadows on my way home. Of course, I was terrified witless and actually thought this was the end of me. But, out of nowhere, another lady poked one of the men with what turned out to be a stun device and he only yelped in pain and froze before falling. His companion panicked and ran.

Teresa was heaven-sent, and her own low voltage stun gun, a lifesaver. As stun devices go, it does not have as much power as varieties with more than one million volts, but it still packed a punch. And this, I saw with my very own eyes.

The second my nerves settled, she revealed to me her Stun Master 100,000 volts curved stun device. It appeared a lot more like a shaver at six inches high than a weapon but, hey, it saved me! Teresa preferred it because of its mild stunning effect which lessened, if not eliminated, unintentional harm.

I am kind of scared about using a stun weapon because it implies I'm close enough to an assailant in order to have direct contact with him.

Contact with a vulnerable body part such as the neck, shoulder, abdomen as well as groin for one or two seconds will initially cause pain and then a loss of balance considering that the muscles turn lax. Effects do not require long to be able to wear away, based on exactly how long electricity was utilized.

Next mission: determine the best place to buy stun guns cheap so I can study how to use these.
