Tae Kwon Do Raleigh Kicks For Beginners

By Andrea Davidson

Because Tae Kwon Do Raleigh is one of the most popular martial arts in the entire world, it is no wonder that the number of practitioners is growing. Of course in order to be able to do this martial art, it is important to first have a very capable instructor who knows what he is doing. For beginners, here is a short overview on some of the kicks of this art just to get a feel of what it would be like to sit in a class.

Now when a beginner would start his class, the first kick that he will be learning would be the stretch kick. It is a high kick that is aimed specifically at the jaw of the opponent in order to create an instant knockout. In order to deliver this move, one must use his hind leg to create a straight kick upwards without bending his leg.

The roundhouse kick is one of the most used kicks in pretty much all martial arts out there because it is the easiest to use as well as the most damaging. It is a snapping forty five degree kick that is aimed directly at the lower torso of the opponent. To do this, all one needs to do is lift his hind leg from a fighting stance, twist his hip to the side, and snap his leg to kick.

There is also a high roundhouse kick which is aimed to the head instead of the lower body. Basically, it is delivered just like a normal roundhouse kick but it is higher and of course harder to do. This kick is the reason as to why there are so many knockouts in tournaments and sparring sessions.

A high kick that can be delivered without the opponent knowing what hit him would be the out in kick. This is actually a surprise kick because it can be done in one move right from the fighting stance. It is done exactly like a stretch kick but is done with a curving movement from the outside to the inside.

Another variation of this kind of kick would be the in out kick which is done exactly like the last mentioned one but in the other direction. Since they are pretty much the same, then it can also be used as a surprise kick. However, he must keep on practicing this kick because it is actually harder to do than the out in.

The side kick would be the last move that one will be learning before he goes to advanced moves. Now this move is usually used to create distance between the fighter and his opponent. Since he will be using the force of the rotating motion of his body, he will be able to push his opponent far away.

So basically, those are some of the basic kicks that one will be learning when he starts attending tae kwon do Raleigh classes. Now during the first days, he will need to condition his body to become flexible first. Once he does this, he will have no problem performing the kicks.
