Understanding The Creative Learning Center

By Catalina Nielsen

Creative learning center aids children in their formative years to be prepared for formal learning. It offers preschool sessions to kids below the age of six. Special attention is given to children with autism and such neurological disorders. Some of the activities included in this program are occupational therapy, speech therapy, summer camps, relationship development activities and social skills development activities. ABA eligibility tests are offered with services extending to home or clinic based options.

The para-professionals involved in the program are formally trained and licensed. They work with teachers to achieve personalized objectives for each child. The aim is to tap into the potential of the cognitive stage of child development to enhance optimal performance. There are different sessions in the morning or evening depending on the schedule of each parent. The program nurtures creativity and innovation in a controlled, safe and guided environment. Children are prepared to meet the challenges of school life.

The teachers at the facility tap into the curiosity of the young minds and guide them towards growth in body, mind and heart. The learning process is made interesting and rewarding to ensure that children continues to seek knowledge in future. It is this approach that leads to optimal performance in academic and other activities that the child engages in future.

Language sessions are by qualified and accredited personnel with formal certification. The sessions are combined with art and craft to raise their levels of creativity and make them innovative. The children grow as confident individuals and begin to chase victory at a young age. Appropriate and adequate training and games materials are provided.

Some of the subjects handled at the center include science and nature, movement and music as well as simple food preparation and cooking. Sensory and dramatic plays are enacted at the facility and plays that nurture a cooperative spirit. There are numerous field trips that expose the children to the real world where their activities will be anchored. It is an all rounded environment that aims at developing a holistic person.

Entry assessment tests are conducted on the children to ease grouping. Social experts, teachers and behaviorists work together to ensure that they identify the capability and ability of the child at entry. This gives teachers an idea of what to focus on while the child is learning. Applied Behavior Analysis is also carried out. This results in an individual who has an independent mind at an early age and who can self-regulate.

A preschool inclusion program is given to children before they get to kindergarten. It introduces them to incidental learning in a comfortable and innovative atmosphere. A healthy teacher-student ratio guarantees that the needs of each pupil will be attended. Inclusion of computer access, drama, music, speech therapy and language classes ensures that the resulting brains are sharp and focused. Each kid has personal goals that must be achieved before graduation.

Creative learning center ensures that the natural curiosity in any child is harnessed. This is by providing qualified professionals and the best environment for cognitive growth. Children are brought up with confidence and incredible self esteem. It is at this age that young ones acquire independent thinking, problem solving and inquisitive personality.
