Of course the best way to do that would be to try creating one of those sports recruiting videos for the recruiters to see. Now if one is new at this, then maybe these tips will be able to help.
Before one would create his video, he would first have to get hold of some video clips that contain his performances. He can do this by asking the head coach to give him some as it is definite that the head coach would keep those videos in his files. Now while doing that, he should also ask the coach to select the ones where he has performed exceptionally.
Now he should ask the coach for some advice on the specific highlights that should be included in the video because the coach would know how to the please the recruiters. Once one has already picked the highlights that he would want to showcase, then the next thing to do would be to put the videos in his laptop. From there, he can cut out some of the highlights that he would want to showcase by using a video editor. He can save them as separate video files which he will be using later on in the process.
Now he should put that aside first and go on to the next step which is making an introduction part for his clip. Now this introduction has to include a short message saying his name, school, address, and what his role is in the varsity. Of course this should be followed by a short introductory message stating the whole purpose of this clip in the first place.
After that, then he may now put all of the videos together and make a single final output. Now one thing that he has to remember is that he should make sure that the editing of the video is good because recruiters would also be taking note of that. So make sure that the presentation of the video is as good as the content.
After he has made the video, then he can now give some copies to the recruiters. Now the first option that he may do would be to give to the recruiters that would actually come to the games. Of course he may try the second option which is to get some referrals from the head coach and give these referrals the video.
One more last thing to remember when creating sports recruiting videos is to make sure the length is just right. Probably around ten minutes would be a good duration for the movie. The introduction has to be very short like around one minute while the rest should just focus on the highlights.
