Procedures For Maintaining Your Inground Fiberglass Pools

By Minnie Whitley

As summer time is approaching, there are those who want to feel relaxed even with the scorching heat. Some people would have some refreshing cocktails on these times to quench thirst. Some people would also not wait for that to prepare their swimming pool in their homes.

Having one at home means you could relax and swim all you want. One of the preferred type of this is the inground fiberglass pools. Most people usually choose this type because it needs low maintenance from time to time. Here are some tips on how you could maintain one.

The first tip is to remember that you do not have to drain the pool. It is already designed to stay full of water while cleaning. The reason for this is that the pressure given by the water to it is used to keep it balanced with the pressure of the ground. If you are going to empty it then it would no longer be balanced. That would be one reason for it to crack.

If you are looking for the best equipment for this then it is advisable that you buy a telescopic pole. Poles like these have a variety of length and materials it is made up of. The most common type being used by people is the one that is made from aluminum. You could adjust the length of the pole. You can also attach a variety of accessories for easy cleaning.

Some would attach skim nets and leaf rakes at the end of it. If you wanted to catch debris on its surface then you have to use a skim net. If you wanted to remove debris that are just floating then you have to use the leaf rake. It is advisable that you would be using that everyday. This is one way to avoid a huge amount of dirt on it.

If there is a huge amount of dirt on it, you have to vacuum them out. You can choose from the manual or automatic one. If you have the manual vacuum, have its head attached to the pole. Before you place it on the water, a hose should be attached on it as well. It will trap the dirt on its bag. If you have the automatic vacuum, it is effortless to use and expensive as well. You will just set it, turn it on and it would be collecting all the debris with less effort on your part. There are a lot of shapes and styles of vacuum that is available. You only have to make sure that its head is for fiberglass pools.

When you are done vacuuming it then you have to brush it too. That will remove slime which was not picked when you vacuumed. Make sure the tile cleaner and brush you use is fit for these pools.

You can also buy test kits. It will help determine the chemical level and quality of the water. Be sure you check every week.

It is necessary that you follow those tips. If you would maintain it then it will be useful for many years. Every hot day would become a swimming day.
