The Common Uses Of A Unique Promotional Swag

By Kerri Stout

It is a very common fact that everyone likes free things. Because of this information, organizations have utilized this human behavior in order to further promote their names by giving away what is known as unique promotional merchandise. This type of merchandise, also known as unique promotional swag, is used as freebies to give away to people and to spread the name of the organizations behind it.

Now in general, items like these are used by businesses in trying to promote the brand. Now what happens here is that businesses would take ordinary items like ball pens, umbrellas, or even bags and would stick their logo there. From there, they would use these as products that would be given to customers if the customers would fulfill certain terms set by the business.

Now small items like pens or fans are often given in trade shows to customers who would make a purchase. Now only small items can be given as giveaways since trade shows will only allow businesses to sell their products with small margins. However, since the logo is still there, it will still be effective since the name of the brand will spread.

Now if a company is holding a big event like a conference or a contest, then one can expect a lot of giveaways. Now as compared to trade shows, the giveaways here are better since it is a big event and the host as well as the sponsors would really want to get the support of the attendees. It is for this reason that items like shirts, bags, or even big umbrellas can be found in events like these.

These items can also be used as corporate giveaways to give to certain people who contribute to the growth of the company. Now these entities would include the business partners as well as the other associates. The company would usually stick their name on whatever they give so that the ones who would receive the gifts will not forget where the gifts came from.

Now even if one is in a non profit organization, he may also use this same strategy in promoting a certain cause. If a non profit organization has an advocacy to for example spread awareness for breast cancer, they can actually give out freebies that would contain a message about the cause. They can also give out these freebies during events that they would hold.

Now another entity that would make use of this tactic would be the political parties. During the campaigning period, the parties would have to make sure their names are well known around the country. In order to do this, most of them would be giving freebies with the faces of the representatives there.

So no matter what one is promoting whether it may be a business, an event, a person, or an advocacy, this strategy is definitely very effective. What it does is that it tweaks the heartstrings of people by making the people think that the entities giving the freebies treat them well. Because of this, the ones who would receive the giveaways would support these entities wholeheartedly.
