By Tammie Caldwell

Similar to other animals, the cattle needs food, shelter and water to survive. Their shelter must be spacious and comfortable enough for them to move around in any way they want. Depending on the kind of place, you have to prepare an adequate shelter for them to spend the whole night.

A barn for instance can be favorable when building your own home. If you live in a country where there is snow, it can really be too cold and there is high tendency for them to experience the coldness of snow. This is why you have to make sure that their shelter is well protected. Additional thing is the process of making cattle tub and alley Missouri.

A barn can help them sheltered for the whole day. Water should be provided and it must be constant. Check all the containers to know if there is enough for the whole day or if there is a need to refill it. The containers must be accessible all the time so they can drink.

A fence is also needed to let them stay in the place and to avoid from getting out. The fence must be strong enough to keep them inside. Never let them escape as you will surely find it hard to catch them. It must be durable and do not forget to check them from time to time.

The fact that they easily get sick is also true that is why they must be taken care of properly. You will not know when it will be that is why you should be prepared for it. Right handling and vaccinations are a must given that those are considered their needs to live healthily. Always keep your attention when they are outside.

You have to make an appointment with the veterinarian in advance to know the possible risk and disease that they will happen in the future. Ask about the symptoms as well as the cure. One indication that will let you know that they are unhealthy is their actions that are not really usual. It could also include their unusual action and their temperature.

You have to give them a healthy diet all the time. Grass is not really enough for the summer and spring. It is needed to include right supplementation and other nutrients because they cannot go out to graze during winter season. The pasture musts be given well and the grass must be in proper condition.

Feeding them when it is winter can be costly because of the supplements that will be included. You can also give them some hay to serve as their main diet. It is needed especially during winter. Avoid feeding them most of the time with cereal grains with added nutrients as it can make them look fatter and really unhealthy.

Remember and follow these guidelines to ensure that the cattle will be healthy. You have to put them on practice to maintain their good health. Feed them with the needed food everyday. Expose them to sunlight. Avoid making them look fatter than the usual. Everything must be balanced and it is your main task to do it.
