You might be thinking, yes it is true that arc flash is quite dangerous and even cause death to all workers. Most people in the industry are not aware of this danger. People also heard that explosions are hotter than the typical heat of the sun. According to studies, electric arc is considered as hottest thing on Earth in addition to laser.

This is the main reasons why individuals are given some warnings on the effects of the explosion or blast. Everyone understands that arc flash is very hot. Therefore, employees should wear protective clothing and gear while observing the proper warning labels. To prevent such disaster, b it is crucial to consider the arc flash analysis. Every employee also need to undergo training along with proper supervision and attitude towards the practice and guidelines in the workplace in order to prevent injuries.

You also have to remember that no amount of training can avoid to be involve in accidents. However, these things can be avoided or prevented. Most of the errors may also vary depending on your consistency which usually involves critical details. In addition to that, electrical employees rarely return to their respective task especially if they experienced the arc disaster. They are maimed and affect their lives.

Potential electrical risks may include electrocution, shock, blast or flash. Usually, electrical risk happens when materials are insulated and no longer containing an applied voltage. A short insulation or circuit can also create a bypass around the circuit. The generated heat by high current flows may also vaporize the material which will create arcs. It will then produce an intense heat, brilliant flash and pressure wave driving the arcing materials.

And since the demand of electrical materials is increasing constantly, transformer in both utility and industrial levels are upgraded and may be replaced having a low impedance and ratings. These transformers can be operated in parallel levels to achieve the requirements for system reliability. Also, these modifications may increase the fault current and lead to electrical energy.

Most of the employees also know and understand the shock risk but only some understand the hazards. That is why, analysis is necessary. There are companies that hire qualified engineers to keep the system up to date. But, because budget is reduced and companies experience downsizing, such function may also vanish on time.

Risks may actually happen when someone has no ideas on the job and when people are working in the equipment without any experience and skills. One of the risky situations you may consider is when a worker is working near the device or equipment. This is because the doors can be opened and may result to risks.

It is better to conduct proper analysis than calculating the fault current. It often begins with data and information gathering and perform a detailed analysis that contains load flow, short circuit and protective tool to identify its acceptance level.

Knowing the great importance of analysis is helpful for individuals to spread awareness of possible hazards especially if someone has no knowledge and skills about the equipment. This is the reason why professionals are the only one who will handle the job, since they have enough training to do the task.
