Success does not come instantly: you need to go through several stages. The first step involves setting yourself in the correct position and the frame of mind. At the beginning, most people need a lot of support and love from their family members and colleagues. This is critical in aiding them organize themselves and attaining self-belief.

If you want to succeed, you must prepare yourself mentally. If you believe that you are beaten, then you stand no chance of winning. This is because you already lack the spirit of a champion. People succeed because they have faith in themselves. If you dwell on your weaknesses, then you are defining your path for failure. Hence, always focus on your success.

Being a winner takes you to believe that you are one. Without faith in yourself, you will not achieve much even if the whole world believes in you. The impact that faith has on the success of an individual is overwhelming. You will realize that you have limitless opportunities once you discover that you are a champion. However, you do not necessarily have to be on the winning side of the scoreboard to be a winner.

It is only you who can stand in your way of success. People might discourage you or stop you, but you can only fail if you allow yourself to be defined by others. You need to work to your full potential not to please others, but for yourself: so that you can always know you have given your best.

You need to want success as much as you want to breathe. If your hunger for victory is greater that you fear for failure, then you are definitely made to succeed. When on the track, athletes often feel like quitting, but it is that desire to be the best that keeps them going.

If you are not willing to make sacrifices to attain your goals, then you cannot expect to get there. Successful people understand this and recognize that success does not come freely, but through their own performance. Once you have given everything within your ability, then you have already succeeded. The outcome of the process is not what determines success, but what you put into it.
