Forget Competing With Others, Instead Try This...

By Evan Sanders

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit." - Aristotle

Don't ever compete with others. You're better than that.

Maybe you're asking, "Should I compete with myself?" No, don't do that either. You're still better than that.

You deserve a greater breed of competition.

Compete with your potential.

It's time to battle with the ghost of the individual you could become. Because if you enter into the arena looking to challenge that, you will become far greater than anything you may have ever dreamed of.

When you do this, you could grow into someone incredibly special.

Every single day, bring your desire to play in the game of life to the table. You may not wake up feeling great, you could be struck by adversity and land flat on your back, but make the decision to stand back up, wipe the dust out of your eyes and get back to competing with the individual you know you may become.

But what is that potential?

In all honesty, you are the only person on this planet that actually knows the answer to that question. However, to give you an idea, your potential is the version of you that acts with heavy amounts of integrity and is constantly chasing their dreams. That person is always giving their best effort and never quits no matter how bad the situation gets.

Chase this person.

The thing is you shouldn't be intimidated by this. Sure, you will never basically reach those moments where you outshine your potential in competition. It's not really about that. Instead, it's about growing into an individual that is constantly improving upon themselves and growing.

The future lives in your ability to see what you are capable of and then to step into that story. If you can do that, you can really become something special.

So what is your potential?

Become someone amazing.
