The education system has over the years been used to determine the career paths people follow and to some extent even forcing people in following directions they never anticipated for. This deprivation of freedom is seen by the way people are denied the chance to pursue the courses they want just because they have not reached certain marks that are required in grading students into the various courses; instead, they are forced to settle for other courses.

For that reason, the majority people in the different lines of work are in careers they did not want to follow but did it for the sake of finding a means to earn a living. This result to people not being passionate in their undertakings which does not do good to the performance; were it a field one is passionate about, ones competence can just be seen by their willingness to perform to their best of abilities.

Over the decades, the Canadian education system has made some stride in trying to rectify the systems that deprive students of these freedoms. For instance, students are able to choose the subjects they want to major in, they are every now and then engaged in talks that help them reflect on the career choices they would want to make and having structures that nurture young talents.

Being indecisive of the choice one wants to make when it comes to choosing their path in life is not something new; in fact, everyone goes through this at some point and some even realize the wrong decision they made two year in college and have to change their majors. One has to focus on what they love, and if this changes with time, then their priorities should too.
