Checking Out The How To Fall In Love Book By Cecelia Ahern

By Douglas Hamilton

If one would want to enjoy a nice and heart warming love story about two people undergoing a tough time in life, this novel by Cecelia Ahern is the best to read. Just to give one an idea, the title of her novel is how to fall in love and it is a modern day love story fairy tail. To get an idea of what it is about, continue to read this how to fall in love book review.

Christine and Adam are the main characters in the story wherein they both meet when Adam tries to kill himself by jumping off a bridge. Christine in turn, tried to help Adam and convince him that life is worth living and that he should try to give life another chance. Of course, the catch would be that Christine would be able to do this with a deadline of the birthday of Adam.

Somewhere along the line, Christine, who is the one who is supposedly to save Adam, ends up being saved by Adam too in a strange twist. In two weeks, Christine discovers a lot more to life than what she is used to and ends up with her own strange thoughts. In the story, both will end up trying to save each other from their own selves.

Now, Christine is the type of happy and optimistic person who has a high enthusiasm for self help books. Christine tries to always help her friends and family out by encouraging them to always see the better side of things. However, things took a downturn when she realized that she did not love her then husband anymore and decided to break the marriage.

Adam is the heir to the Basil Chocolates which is something that he does not want. His father is on his deathbed and he recently lost his job. He also discovered that his long time girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend. This is where he meets Christine while attempting to kill himself.

The most amazing thing about this story, although a very common plot, is the way Ahern tries to make light of everything. With some injections of humor on to the written material, Ahern tries to make the rather heavy story as reader friendly as possible. The story between the two characters as their relationship buds is by far one of the most amazing as it also mirrors what may really happen in real life.

The heavy themes in this novel include suicide, harshness of life, and all the other serious aspects are supposed to make the story a dramatic one. However, Ahern was still able to make the heaviness lighten up a little bit. This will create a very heartwarming story for people in the desired age bracket.

As one can see, this is probably one of the most interesting books ever written in this genre of novels. It is a touching tale of two people, one going through a failed marriage and one wanting to die, coming together and ultimately helping each other through life. It is definitely a tale that would make one feel a sense of humanity again.
