Having no or little self esteem can be caused by a number of different reasons. Some people don't think a lot of themselves. This can happen when negativity creeps in during all aspects of your life. It is all in the mind and you begin to believe what the mind is telling you. You will often talk about emotions and feelings that you have not come across before. This is important and necessary because often there are underlying issues that caused these sensations. It can be the way in which you were brought up. The environment you were exposed to makes a big difference in your life.

For example, a person may have been emotionally abused by a parent their entire lives. It can make them feel like they are a failure. When someone tells you that you are no good as a child, this is something that you tend to believe. This is what cognitive behaviour therapy can help you with. You will also feel a lot lighter after you have been to a therapy session.

People often say that it takes a lot of time to do something like meditate. This helps you to relax, to feel at peace and at one with yourself. You will feel less anxious and it is a great way to start the day. But you will be surprised that by doing more work like this, you will be left with less on your plate to deal with. You will begin to feel your confidence levels rise because you have given this time to yourself which is important. Spending time with yourself makes a huge difference.
