Traits Of Las Vegas Foursquare Churches Priests

By Kathleen Smith

There are many ways through which one can use to choose a career. One of them is comparing the traits of the people in this field you are planning to join with those that you possess as an individual. If they match, then it is most likely that you can do well in the field. The following are traits of the priests in Las Vegas Foursquare Churches.

This is a calling that you have to be sure about. A lot of challenges are involved, and only those who are passionate about it can cope to the end. A passionate person is one who loves the scriptures and is dedicated to serving God and other people. Those who follow the priesthood for money end up quitting as they find the work to be too demanding.

Understanding the doctrine of the religion is an essential requirement for priests. Most priests learn a lot about their religion in their tender age, and they keep understanding more as they grow up. This makes it easy for them to join religious schools where they are further equipped with more skills that enable them to lead the congregation. During this period, a lot of research is conducted.

To lead others, you must be social. The people you lead will come to you for interactions, and it will be tough for people that are not very talkative. You must be friendly to everyone too to get the chance to preach to them. Living peacefully with the people around you makes your work more comfortable, especially when your colleagues are involved.

Every spiritual leader must be prayerful. You need strength to do your work in the right manner and to be able to overcome the various temptations that come your way. People also depend on you to lead them in intervention prayers for their needs. It is therefore important that as a priest you adopt a prayerful habit to help you through.

Someone in this position must be morally upright. The many people attending your teachings are looking up to you, and they will do what you teach them. You must, however, act as a role model. People will doubt your teachings if you do not follow them. It will also not be easy to correct those that are doing wrong things in the society if you are doing wrong too.

It is essential that the person be courageous. People are eager to hear from you, and if you are not brave enough to address them, you will fail in the most common role of teaching the rules of the doctrine. Condemning evils and solving disputes among the members of a congregation and society at large requires one to be brave, without fear of being threatened by those you condemn.

The desire to keep learning is essential too. This is a career just like any other, and it is competitive too, with people being promoted when need be. To remain competitive, you have to continue learning. Sometimes it might require you to join higher level classes so that you can become more knowledgeable and increase your chances of growing in a career.
