The Value In Reshaping Your Life

By Anna Graham

At some point, you may find that your life is going nowhere. You may find that you are waking up every morning, going to work and coming home where you will spend time with the family. The same thing will happen the next day. It is not healthy to live from one day to the next. Reshaping your life is something that one may want to look into at some stage.

It can help you stay focused on what you actually want to do and this can motivate and encourage you towards something much greater and exciting. Although you are able to work with a mentor or a life coach during this time, you have to remember that it is you who should be taking the responsibility. Pointing fingers at others is not going to be helpful.

Dreams are great, but often they are just that - a dream. You have to be systematic in your approach. You also have to plan this according to the routine and you will find that you are spend a lot of time that is simply a waste. This should be converted into something constructive.

Things like checking your social media the first thing in the morning after you wake up is going to set you up. You have to ask yourself how much time you spend online browsing from one website to the next aimlessly. To become distracted from these things which are very much pointless, it can help to take up mindfulness and meditation. This has proven to be very helpful.

If you begin to sit in front of the television, tell yourself you are going to stay there for a set time, otherwise you may be there all day. The same goes for something like social media. People don't realize how much time they are on their social media accounts every day. This doesn't always put you in a good mood.

You begin to see that it is only you who is responsible for your actions. Blaming others for what you see in the media and for what goes on in the work place will only bring you down. When you do slip back into this state of mind, you need to practice mindfulness.

There are different ways in which you can practice mindfulness. It is different from basic meditation. This is something that you can use at any time of the day, when you are out in public, at work, in the mall or in the gym. A lot of people with anxiety find it extremely helpful. However, it can be useful in helping your whole body to relax with breathing exercises.

If you are feeling stressed in the work place or anywhere else, focus on these breathing exercises and you will a great sense of peace come over you. It takes some time to get over the learning curve, but once you do you will find it to be extremely useful. . It is also useful to practice this method should you be struggling to sleep.
