By Steven Thompson

Because Muay Thai makes use of 8 different parts of the body, it contains many more combinations as compared to regular boxing. Known as the science of eight limbs, the combat sport makes use of the hands, the legs, the knees, and the elbows. If one would want to learn more about how to fight using this art, here are some of the basic muay thai dallas combinations that he might be interested in.

Now, one of the most interesting things to note about this martial art is that it is coined as the science of eight limbs. This is because practitioners have eight limbs that they can use for combat. These eight limbs are the hands, the shins, the elbows, and the knees. When one combines all of these limbs together, it is possible to unleash deadly attacks to bring down opponents right away.

So to start off, punches will be the first to be discussed. The punches of this art is pretty much the same as regular boxing wherein there is a jab, cross, uppercut and the book. As a practitioner, the very first combo that one will learn would be the one two punch which is a punch combo with a jab first and cross next.

Yet another combo that one will learn after that would be the uppercut hook combo. It is another one two combo wherein one does an uppercut with the front hand and a hook with the back hand. If one would want, he can also do two uppercuts for both left and right then follow it up with a hook.

Next, one would then be adding some elbow strikes into the picture. The three basic elbow strikes would be the sideways elbow strike, downward elbow strike, and the upward elbow strike. All of them can be used in combination with a jab wherein one throws a jab first then an elbow strike of his choice. One can also do a one two elbow with the front hand moving first followed by the back hand.

From elbows and punches, one will also be able to learn the kicks which comprise of a roundhouse kick to the legs, head, or the gut. One can do a one two kick combo wherein one will hit gut with the front foot and then hit the head with the back leg. The next combo that one can learn would be a one two punch then kick to the head.

Finally, one will be learning the knees strikes. These can go in conjunction with any of the moves mentioned above. When kicking, one can do a one two roundhouse kick followed by a knee from the back leg. One can even do a one two punch then a knee. Another option would be to go in for a knee right away then smash the opponent with another knee.

As one can see, this martial art has a lot of cool moves. Because of the arsenal available, practitioners can have lots of combos. These combos will make devastating moves that can destroy an opponent.
