Extraordinary Eye-Catching Tie Knots For Men

By Alfred Gain

When it comes to tying a necktie, many men will confirm that sometimes it is a difficult task to accomplish. One can waste a valuable half an hour in the morning to tie his necktie. That is why some choose to learn a couple of tie knots so that they could tie a well-looking tie knot in minutes.

It is a good tactic for every day, but people tend to change their choices and look for some new promising ideas. If you're bored to act all the same every day, try to tie some new ingenious tie knots that will look impressive and stylish.

One of the popular knots now is the Eldredge knot named after its author, Mr. Jeffrey Eldredge. The Eldredge knot looks very extraordinary and beautiful. Its form resembles a maiden's braid in structure though it keeps a traditional triangular shape. Tying the Eldredge knot is not very easy and it requires some practice. But if you try it a couple of times and finally succeed in tying it, you'll be surprised at how many compliments and attention you'll get. Just remember that you can use only solid color or small pattern ties for tying this knot. Plaid, Paisely or striped ties don't work with the Eldredge knot as they reduce the visual appearance of this amazing knot.

If you are not so bold as to try the Eldredge knot, you may choose to tie the Atlantic knot. It is considered a traditional tie knot though it has a touch of pretentiousness. The Atlantic knot looks modern, stylish and unusual and it can be worn with a spread collar shirt.

Or you may want to try the Christensen knot, which has an unusual cruciform structure. It is a perfect tie knot for men who have a broad neck because it makes the neck visually slimmer. Use thin or narrow ties made of silk or polyester for tying these types of knots.

The Onassis knot will be perfect if you have been looking for a completely new way to tie and wear your neckties. Invented by Aristotle Onassis, it instantly gained popularity in the 60s of the 21st century. It is an unusual way to tie a necktie as the wide end of the tie doesn't tuck into the knot. It just drapes over the knot, hanging straight down.
