People will participate as an outpatient. One can even detox in the home environment, taking a few days off from work. Joining up with a group is also something that is highly recommended.

If you don't have the support of your family, you need to join up with a group, which is formal or informal. Ongoing therapy that comes in the form of one on one counseling on a regular basis is also recommended. You will need to learn more about the practical methods which help you get into a routine and what to include in this routine.
