What You Should Do When God Is Reshaping Your Life Through Trials

By Ann Miller

Life is full of ups and downs so when next you are depressed, do not think you are the only one who has gotten into trouble. The wisest man, King Solomon, stated in the Bible that there is nothing new under the sun. This means that the condition you are presently passing through now has been faced by someone else. If God allows troubles come to you, chances are that He is more interested in reshaping your life with it. Drawing close to Him in prayers and reading the Bible will help a lot.

There are several ways to read the scriptures during this period. The first one you may want to consider is reading with a devotional. Using a devotional makes you anticipate opening the Bible every morning, evening or any time you have decided to have your devotion. The notes they contain also gives a good interpretation of the passage so that you can be really blessed for the day.

If possible, make it a habit. That means having a specific time, day and place to have a quiet time. This will create a more intimate relationship between you and God and you will have the grace to face the challenges until the appointed time when they will be rolled away.

Some churches organize early morning prayers so finding one in your locality will help in overcoming challenges. You will be blessed by the priest whose supplications at the altar will also affect you positively. Doing this regularly and consistently will draw more attention of God to you.

Apps now make Bible reading easier and more convenient. Instead of searching from Genesis to Revelation for passages that deal on anger, for example, the apps can give it to you instantly. Others keep presenting verses you never knew existed in the Bible. You may also like those that present the verses at a particular time every day.

When you want to read the Bible, make sure you start and end with prayers. When reading it, take down notes so that you can get back to the lessons during the day. Sometimes, people unknowingly go through the scriptures that help them to overcome some particular challenges that come their way during the day.

Subscribing to daily emails will also ensure that you don't fall short of the required dosage of God's word for you. The email may also contain real-life stories of people who applied the scriptures and got help. Their stories further explain that whatever you may be passing through, God can use it to reshape you. An example is the story of Job in the Old Testament.

So what you are supposed to do in times of trial is never to give up. Trials are important to make you a better person so if you have prayed for an increase, you should be prepared to face this. But God is faithful, he has given you examples to follow in the scriptures. Following them and reading his admonition will help you to conquer
