5 Basic Spiritual Tools To Grow Your Faith

By Lisa Campbell

Faith is like a vine. It only grows once it is nurtured. Nurturing requires the utilization of spiritual tools that work on different elements of your life. In fact, growing spiritually requires adaption of a way of life that is purposed and geared towards God. Experts have pointed at pillars that will make life enchanting for you. Here are some of them.

Read the word of God on regular basis. The basic message that God wants Christians to get is written in the bible. It is through the bible that God instructs and warns Christians. The things that a Christian should do or should not do are captured in the bible. They are addressed from different perspectives by scholars and anointed men who make them easier to understand. Everything you need to know about God is contained in the Bible.

Pray persistently. Prayer helps you to connect with God. Most people will only pray when they need help from God. However, a true Christian is required to pray when he has something and when he is lacking. At the point when God has granted your prayer, you are required to kneel down in thanks giving. Include fasting in your prayers so to enable you concentrate.

Praise and worship the Lord in spirit and truth. Singing psalms and songs of praise help you acknowledge the place of God in your life. While hymns express exaltation to God, they should be backed by actions. It is unacceptable to sing praises while you continue to deliberately live a life of sin. If your praise and worship are to be in spirit and truth, they must be backed by actions.

Join a community of Christians where you can share your faith. There are great benefits when you share the word with other people. You will learn of perspectives that were not previously known to you. It is through other people that you understand what God wants from you. Spirituality in isolation will not be dynamic. When your faith is based on a singular principle, it will be weak.

Serve other people in your community. There are people who need to hear the message of Christ. These people are waiting to hear this message through your testimonies and actions. Be ready to go out and spread the word. You should also manifest your spirituality through acts of charity. God also uses people in need to communicate His desires and purpose in life. Unless you can serve the people you live with, you will not be exercising the call of Christianity.

Reflect on the goodness of God in your life. Take a moment of silence to see what God has done in your life. It is possible to miss the good things that happen in life even without you asking for them. While God does not grant everything you pray for, there are others that He gives for free. Reflect on them and be thankful.

Faith can only be regarded as a vine. For it to grow, it needs constant nurturing. This nurturing comes from the experiences of other people and living in a community of believers. A spiritual leader will guide you into making the right decisions. Make these pillars part of life and you will grow stronger by the day.
