Kahuna Meets Another Legend

By Nui Kahuna

Last Friday morning I had an opportunity to listen to the business speech of Dan Gable the legendary coach and Iowa wrestler. He gave a long speech but you could see the interest and enthusiasm of the people present there listening to his speech.

I may not know much about wrestling but I watch and read sports news. Gable has no equal in the wrestling history. He won 187 straight matches and that's a real big number for a record, though he got defeated in the final match of his college career. In 1972 Gable got the Olympic Gold Medal in defeating a Rushkee who boasted about defeating Gable.

He then went on to become the head wrestling coach at the University of Iowa, winning 15 national championships in 21 years. John Wooden, a revered basketball coach at UCLA, won 10 titles in 30 plus years. Nobody has a record like Gable.

Though Gable had his both hips replaced, everyone would agree that he still has the grace and agility of a panther. He's got a strong look, no wonder everyone can easily recognize him, even those who have no idea of how he looked like, because I did when I saw him walk in the room at about 10AM.

"I am here to be a marker in your life." That's what he said as start of his speech.

One can easily conclude as to how Gable brought many victories to his team, how he could invigorate the spirit of an average guy to reach for a star again and again. After Gable's talk, most of the listeners chose to stay to get his autograph and pictures. There's one guy there who excitingly approached Gable, introducing himself as from Oklahoma. "That's unfortunate, but you can rise above it," said Gable.

He still gets to fight on the mat today, but according to him he chooses his opponent. Unlike before when he took them in all corners.

Not everyone will get to meet Dan Gable, but he can be an inspiration to everyone. Gable has inspired many, not only those who are a part of his team, but even those who have not met him. He has taught many on how to be prepared and strong in facing unpleasant events.

As Gable can put down his opponents, so you can. With the aid of technology and disguise, The new Cell Phone Stun Gun is your assurance to curl down to the ground a bad jack. It just appears to be a cell phone, but it can stun a bad jack with a 950,000 volt of electricity, passing him out for half an hour. He'd wonder what happened to him and he'll be thinking, "It sure looked like an easy mark."

Junkie training is never scheduled. They just sometimes suddenly appear to take advantage of you. But not anymore, you can give them a lesson that's free of charge, and soon you'll see there's bunch of them needing that lesson.
