Building Self Confidence: Guidelines That Work for Everyone

By Seth Czerepak

Self confidence is an amazing tool. It is an enabling emotion, meaning that the more you have, the more
you will be able to accomplish. Self-confidence may be gained by way of a variety of techniques, but only some
techniques will help you to keep your self confidence over a long time. There are numerous choices
you can make that may add or take away from your self confidence. The main element to building self confidence
is to make the choices which will add to your self-confidence. The development will be exponential, meaning that
the more confidence you possess, the simpler it will be to get more. The important part is always to keep it going in
the beginning, which is the most difficult period.

Have you ever wished to do something, but haven't had the confidence to get it done? Then, after the time
frame passed, you experienced regret for not doing that? This is definitely an incredibly frequent scenario. Sadly,
many individuals live their entire lives without constructing any kind of new retainable self-confidence. These people spend time
stressing about possible failures, and not doing exactly what they really would like. They'll make excuses to
rationalize their actions, but they won't ever really experience what they really want to experience.

Here's a simple method to place yourself on the right track to building self confidence. Look back at a recollection
where you had the opportunity to do something, but turned it down as a result of lack of self confidence. What's
the very first feeling you're feeling when looking back at it? In most cases, you will experience regret. You'll feel
regret, even if the occasion was in years past! Actually, the more time that has passed since the event, the greater
regret you might feel! The regret stayed with you. This is extremely vital that you take note. Why? Well, most people
turn down opportunities because they are fearful of disappointment. Well, look back at an opportunity you took,
but 'failed' at. In this case, most people won't experience regret, because they tried. And even though they
didn't have great results, they were able to use that as a learning experience.

In nearly every case, the regret you feel is FAR worse compared to feelings associated with failing. In reality, you can barely
call it failing if you tried something. As a result, by turning down an opportunity due to fear of failing, you
are making sure you will really feel regret, which is a far worse sensation, and a feeling that lasts seemingly
forever!

Because of this, next time you're given an opportunity, but feel you don't possess the self-confidence for it,
take action regardless. Worse comes to worst, you don't achieve what you tried to do, however, you will always
keep in mind that you attempted, which will build self confidence! The only way to not create self-confidence is
to turn down a chance, in which case, you'll be met with regret. Remember this the next occasion you
have an opportunity, and realize that a small level of action could save you from regret, and help you
build self confidence.
