The way in which you think makes a massive difference to the results that you get. I make this statement with great confidence because I experience the results that people get when they change the way they think. However Intriguingly nobody appears to have done any quantitative research to support the effects of positive thinking. The fact that I have been unable to find such results does not necessarily mean that they don't exist, only that I've not found the right way to interrogate Google.
The difficulty of living in today's world is that we are continually battered by the media with negative messages. Plenty of the people around us have a negative outlook on life. Events in the world around us are reported in negative ways. So it is no wonder that it is not difficult to fall into the trap of developing a negative outlook oneself.
Nonetheless anyone who has done NLP training with a seasoned NLP practitioner will have discovered the benefits of a positive perspective. The challenge is to take on and maintain a positive attitude when the people in the world around you are behaving in a negative way.
The secret to maintaining a positive attitude is to be constantly in a state of thinking, feeling and behaving in positive ways. Being positive is not just a mental discipline, it is also an emotional discipline. It is easier to maintain a positive state of being when you regard yourself as a positive person. Note, a good way to view this is not as something that you will become, but rather as something that you are.
From my personal experience of having coached plenty of executives during my business coaching sessions I am able to guarantee you that as quickly as you begin to behave as if you're positive your goals will be reached with great ease.
