The Four Most Important Piece Of Jiu Jitsu Gear

By Anderson Becvar

The right Jiu Jitsu gear is important when you plan to start training in this sport, and through out the entire participation of the art. More than something to be worn in the practice of the sport, the right gear would actually be contributory to your success in it. The sport has various pieces used as acknowledged apparel for the sport, and if you have, the cash to spend you can as well buy all of them. But if you are in a tight spot financially, you might want to buy only those that are deemed vital.

Jiu Jitsu would be a miss if it lacked the Gi, which is like the epitaph of the sports gear. It is a special garment that pretty much represents everything that is important about the sport. Another name that it goes by is kimono. Generally, it is comprised of a top and a pair of pants. Whether in practice or in competition, it is the official uniform that anyone performing the sport would have to use. The Jiu Jitsu Gi or kimono has a cut and design that allows for flow and movement of the entire body when executing various moves of the Jiu Jitsu art.

If you are familiar with the arts, you will note that all that practice the sport have a belt around their waist, which may be purple-blue, brown, white, or black. A person practicing the sport would have to include the jiu jitsu belt in his gear because it would represent his level of skill in the art. When you first start training in the sport, you would be given a white belt. The instructor will of course grant you other belts as you continue your study of the art and improve your skills. To find the black belt around your waist, you will take about ten years of through practice and wining challenges in Jiu Jitsu. If a person has a very high level of skill, you would see him sporting a gi with a black belt around his waist.

Taking into account the amount of contact that this martial arts has, you need to have something that keeps you at the best of your performance. The gear you wear when doing Jiu Jitsu will help boost this important aspect. Rash guards are the gear that you will have to put on when you are on the floor training. They will be useful in absorbing the impact or force that will be suffered by the body. The body temperature will also be kept on an even keel. It is very effective in absorbing sweat and perspiration. However, many Jiu Jitsu challenges do not accept this gear in the duels.

It is a given that friction burns would be sustained on the skin when you get involved in any contact sport. One area that faces this issue is the head, the ears to be precise. Due to grappling and trying to free yourself from the hold, the ear will be brushed hard against your opponent. This is where the ear guards come in, in order to prevent ear burns. Make sure you jiu jitsu gear includes all these four pieces so you can make the most of the sport.
