Suggestions On How To Stop An Attacker Coming From A Secure Range

By Fred B Roze

I could tell the person was trouble. He was coming from the other way on the sidewalk. There was something about the way he walked with his own hand throughout his pocket that was not right. He was only ten feet away. My own right hand was already at my hip, gripping the handle of my very own telescopic stun gun. The moment he looked at me, I could practically read his thoughts.

I brought a stun weapon for years until I found stun batons.

I found out that stun batons let you zap attackers from a secure distance. I liked that.

I got a Streetwise 3000K extendable rechargeable stun gun baton with light via the Internet. Its free nylon bag with belt loop makes it very easy carrying around with me everywhere. A telescopic baton, this collapses to just 12.5 inches in length for easy transport or storage.

My own baton stun gun shoots out to about 21 inches, and the grab guard stun strips running along its sides electrify one foot of the weapon so this can not be grabbed from me. Those vibrant electrical arcs ensure no individual would want to or be able to. The sight as well as sound alone of all that crackling electricity is enough to frighten anybody off.

If it does not, there is always the attention-attracting 130dB alarm and the vibrant LED light that helps me notice the target if it is dark as well as blinds him with its glare, too.

The protective rubberized finish is not hard to grip, and you will find three degrees of safety. I have to move the safety switch to "on," and the function switch to "stun," before pushing the trigger. I will not stun anybody by chance. This is rechargeable, also. No batteries to trouble with.

The man all of a sudden came at me coming from several feet out however didn't get any nearer. I shot my very own stun baton out to full length, stopping him in his own tracks and dropping him. He lay on the sidewalk, shaking. I took my mobile phone out and called 911.
