By Marla Mills

There are some houses which require pressure washing Alabama. This is the kind of activity which will require the homeowner to use high-velocity water spray for the sake of cleaning any dirt and residue from the house's exterior. This is the type of cleaning that is particularly necessary as a preparatory step for painting or repainting the house.

If the homeowner is washes the house with this, then always make sure to pick the right washer for the job. There are different kinds of washer that can be used for the house. The choice that one should make has to depend on the housing materials the house is made of. The housing material is an essential factor to take into account when choosing.

If the individual finds the right washer to use for this task, then the individual will need to turn his or her attention to the fixtures that are in the way of the spray. The fixtures should be covered and protected against this pressurized water. Cover them with drop cloths and plastic coverings. Hold them in place using duct tape.

The cleaning will mostly focus on any mildew that are stuck on the wall. If this happens, make sure to start with manually scrubbing on those obvious mildew. This will help lower the amount of pressurized water to use for the cleaning. Using a plain scrub should be good enough to scrub the mildew off manually.

Pick the right cleaning solution that one can use for this. There should be lots of cleaning solutions that one can use. Most of them are non-phosphate concentrated cleaners. The person will have to remember to mix the cleaners with water before filling it into the washer's detergent dispenser.

Make sure to have a garden hose prepared for this task too. The person should remember to hook the garden hose both to the water supply and to the washer. Once the garden hose has been set up into both the water supply and the washer, one will have to turn the water supply's faucet on to allow the flow of water.

The pressurized water being used for the cleaning should be tested first. Do this by holding the washer's nozzle with two hands for about three feet from the wall. Then, the homeowner has to move in closer to the wall until one already feels that the said spray is strong enough for dirt removal but not that strong to cause damage.

When cleaning, the homeowner has to start at the top of the house. The spray will then need to move in a downward motion. Do not forget to spray on the roof overhangs and underhangs. People has to spray on the gutters too. Move the spray on a steady manner from side to side.

Plain water is necessary for this kind of cleaning. The individual will be using the garden hose to get plain water into the wall and rinse it. The same when the individual sprayed cleaning solution through pressurized water on the wall, one will need to rinse it in a top-down, side-to-side manner. After pressure washing Alabama, allow the wall to dry from two days before painting or repainting over it.
