A Look Into Mediums In Dallas TX

By Jerry Hughes

Over time there have been numerous practices that have been carried out over time, but none can truly match the art of communicating with the dead. Medium-ship is one of the oldest practices recorded in both historic and religious books and the amazing thing about it is that it has somehow found itself in modern times. It has gained so much popularity and has spread all over the world that it is no longer a surprise to locate mediums in Dallas TX.

There are two kinds of medium-ships namely, spirit channeling and Ouija. The latter usually involves the application of some kind of flat board where letters of the alphabet as well as numbers 0 all the way to 9 are engraved. Using this board, mediums ask questions and receive responses. It uses a heart shaped wood known as a planchette. They believe that when the planchette starts to move, it is actually the spirit called out for communicating. Ouija did not start off as a spiritual thing, but more of some form of entertainment. However, as time went by, this concept faded and was soon branded as a medium of communication with the dead.

Channeling on the other hand is a way of communicating with the spirit world. Here, the medium acts as the channel. It often involves them going into a trance where the spirit takes control over the mystic. They merge their spirits together and allow the spirit to enter the body in an effort to communicate with a loved one. In their altered conscious state, the mediums are able to perceive the message being passed.

The concept behind this practice is that the medium acts as an intermediary between the two worlds that is the world of the living and the spirit world. These kinds of mystics often claim to have the power of listening to different messages in the spiritual world, and in turn convey this information to the interested parties. The common belief is that spirits can use the bodies of these mystics to either communicate via a drawing, writing, or speaking directly.

As earlier mentioned, this is no new practice. Ancient history had recorded many attempts by people to communicate with the dead. Though, it received a lot of bad criticism in the ancient times, it came to gain popularity in ninetieth century. This popularity came as a result of spiritualism, which later established itself as a religious movement.

The mediums are believed to have four mystic abilities, one of them being clairvoyance. This typically means clear seeing and is the most common one. However, many people tend to misunderstand this ability. It usually entails seeing an image representing either a number, color, or a symbol. Number two is clairsentience and usually entails having a clear feeling. Here, one can receive different messages via emotions, feelings as well as physical sensations.

The third ability is clairaudience. Here, one has clear hearing and they can be able to listen to what spiritual entities are trying to communicate to the living. Lastly is the claircognizance. This is associated with one being able to know things without the actual facts.

Mediums have their own share of both believers and skeptics. There are those who term their work as genuine while some view it as a sham. In this world both views are accepted since everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
