The Beliefs Of The Best Las Vegas Foursquare Churches

By Barbara Myers

The first church was in Jerusalem, Israel. Since then, there have been churches all over the world. When Christianity went to the Roman Empire, there was the formation of the Roman Catholic Church. When it reached Britain, the Anglican Church started. The advent of Christianity in the United States of America led to the rise of many churches including the Seventh Day Adventist, Quakers, and the Church of Latter Day Saint (LDS). Most importantly there was the formation of the Foursquare Church. Presently, there are a number of Las Vegas Foursquare churches. They are also in other American cities and states.

The Foursquare Church is guided by a number of beliefs. These are the same beliefs that guide other Christian denomination. There are many Christian denominations. They do not conflict each other. Instead, they complement each other. The core belief is baptism. No one can become a believer and go to heaven unless he is born again through the baptism with water.

Baptism is a central Christian tenet. The purpose of baptism is to make a person to be as clean as snow, free from all manner of sin. Righteousness exalts a nation. On the other hand, sin is a reproach to all peoples. Man first sinned in the Garden of Eden and since then he has always been sinning and falling short of glory.

Sin abounds. However, grace also abounds and that is the most important matter. The fact that a person has sinned is not a big deal. After all, a human being has a frail nature and he is bound to fall into sin. What matters the most is if an individual will accept the free gift of grace and subsequently repent of sin.

Another vital Four Square belief is the belief in the Bible. Members of this church consider the Bible to be holy and supreme. A true Christian irrespective of the denomination that he belongs in will always model his life after the Bible. Heaven and earth will pass away but there is no Biblical prophesy that will not be fulfilled.

The Bible was not written yesterday. It was written thousands of years ago. According to the Holy Bible, heaven and earth will pass away but no single word of scripture will pass without being totally fulfilled. That is the ultimate truth that a Christian should believe. The Scripture has the Old and New testaments. Each testament is vital in Christianity.

Foursquare Church members believe that it is important to attend service. They believe that there is usually great power in the midst of a congregation of believers. There are times that one will need to pray alone in his house. However, there are occasions where group prayers and worship will come in handy. A Christian should attend the Sunday service.

There is nothing as good as spirituality. It molds a person to become a better human being. It instills a sense of morality in a believer. It makes one to lead a high quality of life. As a matter of fact, spiritual food is more nutritious than physical food. This kind of food will be obtained by reading the holy and inspired words of Scripture.
