Increase The Safety Of Your Home With Mini Security Cameras

By Mike Ward

These days, a person cannot be too careful. How do you know what goes on in your home when you are not there. Have you ever wished that you could see what is happening, either with the sitter, household help or even your own kids when you are out of the house? Here is a little trick that can help. It is mini security cameras.

These little cameras are about the size of a kindergarten fat pencil eraser. They can be hidden almost anywhere. Stuffed animals or artificial flower arrangements make a great hiding place. The wiring attaches to your favorite recording device, and a complete record is made of whatever happens that the camera can see. No one has to even know that you are making the recording.

You should be able to find several places to hide one of these cameras in your home. Try any dark corner where you can aim the camera at the front door. Before you leave for the evening, turn on the recording device and you have a record of any unauthorized entries into your home. What a great way to know what your teens are up to when you are gone. If you have younger children use the camera for spot checks to make sure the sitter is doing her job.

These cameras can also be mounted in weather proof boxes outside your home and you can monitor what is going on outside. Or use a mini bullet camera which comes in a small cylinder case which is weatherproof . Place several around the perimeter of your home and you will be able to see what is happening outside while sitting at your computer or in front of your TV.

Another option for exterior surveillance are mini bullet cameras which are weatherproof and don't require any housing. With a mini bullet security camera you sometimes have the option of choosing a variety of lenses. This can be of benefit if you need to monitor an area or entrance that is further than 30 to 40 feet away. Most mini security cameras with pinhole lenses are designed for a wide field of view which is good for detail up to about 30 feet. Further than that you will probably need a camera with a 6mm or 8mm lens to get facial detail.

There are many options and possibilities when it comes to mini security cameras. There small size and excellent image quality make them ideal for where discrete or covert observation is needed. They can be of great help in discovering how loved ones are treated or whom your teenager has over when you're away.

While many times our fears are unjustified, wouldn't it be worth the investment in mini security cameras, just to be sure?
