Tips for Building Your Self Confidence That Anyone Can Master

By Seth Czerepak

Self confidence is definitely an amazing tool. It's an enabling emotion, which means that the more you possess, the more
you will be able to achieve. Self confidence can be gained by way of a variety of methods, but only a few
methods will help you to maintain your self confidence over a long period of time. There are lots of choices
you can make which will add or take away from your self confidence. The key to building self confidence
is to make the choices which will add to your self-confidence. The expansion will likely be rapid, which means that
the more confidence you have, the easier it will likely be to get a lot more. The key part is to keep it going in
the outset, which may be the most difficult period.

Have you ever wished to do something, but haven't had the confidence to do it? Then, after the time
frame passed, you felt regret for not doing that? This is definitely an incredibly common scenario. Regrettably,
many people live their entire lives without building any new retainable self-confidence. These people spend time
worrying about possible failures, and not doing precisely what they really want. They'll make excuses to
rationalize their actions, but they will never really experience what they really want to experience.

Here's a simple way to put yourself on the right path to building self confidence. Look back at a memory
where you had the opportunity to do something, but turned it down because of lack of self confidence. What's
the very first feeling you're feeling while looking back at it? Generally, you'll feel regret. You will feel
regret, even if the event was years back! Actually, the more time that has passed ever since the event, the greater
regret you might feel! The regret remained with you. This is very vital that you take note. Why? Well, many people
ignore opportunities because they are scared of failing. Well, look back at a chance you took,
but 'failed' at. In cases like this, most people will not experience regret, since they tried. And even though they
didn't have great results, they were able to utilize that as a learning experience.

In nearly every case, the regret you feel is FAR worse compared to feelings of failing. In fact, you can hardly
refer to it as failing if you attempted something. Therefore, by turning down an opportunity due to fear of failure, you
are making certain you'll feel regret, which is a far worse feeling, and a sensation that endures seemingly
forever!

Because of this, next time you are given an opportunity, but feel you don't have the confidence for it,
do it anyways. Worse comes to worst, you don't succeed in what you tried to do, but you will always
remember that you tried, which will build self confidence! The only way to not build self confidence is
to turn down an opportunity, in which case, you will be met with regret. Keep this in mind next time you
have an opportunity, and realize that a slight amount of action will save you from regret, and help you
build self confidence.
