Stress can often be handled by changing things up in your daily schedule, or taking a little more time for yourself by reading a book or watching some TV. Take a 10 minute break and breath deeply. Stop thinking about your problems. Count from 1 to 100 slow and easy. By putting breaks into your weekly itinerary, you'll energize yourself to the point that what used to be stressful is now not so difficult to handle anymore.

If you do not want to have a large pet, get some fish. It has been shown that watching the fish swim will bring about relaxation, which will help to decrease your blood pressure.
