Are you often anxious and worried and dealing with anxiety looks to be a constant companion? Infrequently anxiety or being anxious is self prompted but utside events often trigger our anxiety.
Anxiety has some physical warning signs. My red flag is my shoulders, they become tense and very tight. During longer periods of anxiety they hurt and it can be tough to turn my head or maybe touch my shoulders. The knots that form in my shoulders are very hard similar to a rock and they hurt. A deep massage where the person applies amazing pressure will relieve the ache for a period of time.
Other physical signs can be tenseness of the muscles, the pounding of the heart or a rather more fast heart beat, rise in blood pressure, sweating, lack of concentration, unable to sleep at night, daytime restlessness where you simply cannot relax.
The knots in my shoulders that use to form when I was anxious have not been around for a while. People say being anxious is always about future events that we think are going to happen. We look to the future and we predict the end result. Isn't that sort of like playing God. I could have lost my work and my means of providing for my family. Certainly reasons to make someone anxious.
A few years a go I went to visit a family member who had got fired thought he had a new one and just found out that fell thru. He was married and had small savings so the finance part was urgent.
I visited him to supply encouragement but do you know what happened? He inspired me with his not boastful statement he was trusting in God. He was very relaxed and certainly wasn't anxious so far as I could tell. You know what occurred in weeks. The job that came thru reappeared and he was employed. Today he is enjoying his job and has been quite successful.
Me and my shoulder knots, they're not around often. My response is also found in God. Today when a surprising event comes into my life I love to stop and praise Him for I know He is making preparations to teach me and grow me for something down the road. He guarantees us an abounding life and He tells us not to be anxious so I'm just taking the One who created me at His word. Another great article is how to deal with stress.
