Excellent Manner Of Securing Your Own Property Versus Intruders

By Erick C Corick

Robbers stripped our upstate New York house of everything they were able to take while we were visiting our daughter within L.A. Since our own closest neighbor was a two-minute stroll away, our burglar alarm system was of no use.

The thieves might have gotten caught in the process in case there were one method or another of recognizing our household was being burglarized. We could have phoned 911. My cousin, Ed, then showed us what he claimed was the best DIY house security system for him. It was among those wire free security systems and he mounted this very easily on his own in his own property.

Ed mentioned that with his HomeSafe wireless home security system, whenever an intruder opens up a door or window, this sets off either a door-and-window or motion detector, that sounds a 105dB alarm and sends signals towards a base unit.

The base unit then calls the first number inside a preprogrammed listing of as much as 5 numbers. This includes Ed's cellular phone number and those of his spouse and also three children. When he answers, then he will listen to a prerecorded alert message.

He could tune in to what is taking place within the room, talk via the base unit's speaker or disarm the system by remote.

However in case Ed does not answer his cell phone, or disarm the system, the base unit phones his wife Sally next, and so on.

The system contains a base unit having a programmable keypad, an alarm, AC adaptor, and 1 door-and-window sensor having a wireless transmission range of about 250 feet. This has a motion detector with a range of eight yards and also a remote control key fob having a panic button for arming as well as disarming the device.

Since we installed one, all of us agree today with Ed. This particular alarm system is the best DIY home security system for us. Our household was broken into once more. Again, only the burglars heard the alarm go off however we were alerted right away from our hotel room in Atlanta and phoned 911. This time, they did not get away with a single thing.
