Martial arts association is a structured group of people who study and practice martial arts seeking to advance their art, personal interests of the members and to serve the society better. They are often not for profit organizations. A martial artist is an individual who practices these arts.

Martial art is a form of soldierly sporting activity. The mentality held by these artists is one of modesty, self will and discipline. The spirit of bravery and determination is encouraged to make them move ahead. It is also believed that challenges come to make them stronger.

An association is formed by persons in the field concerned who can be trainers, professional or students. They are headed by a board of directors who are either elected or voted. Directors are usually devoted martial artists who work with diligence to ensure they meet the purpose of the association and they are required to have held the beliefs of their forerunners in the practice. These leaders help members to protect and understand the value of the natural environment, and the necessity to set aside resources to assist the less advantaged in our society.

Objectives behind formation of these kind of groupings is the urge to bring artists together for continued development and control of the practice, and bringing new skills to members. They work to equip the group with desirable qualifications in their specific areas. The group also protects the society by maintaining and implementing better standards of training and ethics in the art.

Organizations offer a number of benefits to members depending on the objectives of their formation. The main benefits are that they offer expert guided seminars and arrangement for continuous training to members. The benefits in some organizations are tied to the level of participation in that active members have a higher chance for growth and development of their knowledge and skills. Every member is highly valued and considered equal in the association.

Specialist training and cultivation of talent are greatly achieved under such groups. An experienced artist in an association is able to motivate, interact and train amateur and younger artists thus improving the skills of youngsters. The difference in knowledge on the art helps in grouping members into promotional calibers, the calibers are motivational and persons will seek them for honor and prestige reasons.

Membership is gotten when one makes an application for it or by filling registration forms. Periodical subscription fee is charged on members to assist in the operations of the association. Benefits are entitled to any registered members who have paid the subscription fees. The maximum membership for this type of a group is infinity.

Associations try to protect the art from the misconception held that it is practiced for self defense purposes. Rather it brings the concept of body growth, help to community and sense of discipline. Associations also serve to ensure members are well disciplined and behaved in society.

Martial arts association can make the practice real fantastic. Working in teams, participating in community service delivery and undertaking challenging work are so nice experiences that are greatly got from associations. Majority of artists are in associations so as to benefit from the package offered by them.
