Good Manner Of Using A Flashlight Defense Spray For Defense

By Jamison C Sheets

I strolled quickly, my hand grasping the flashlight self defense spray my sweetheart, Stan, had provided me. The next street lamp was some feet away, but it only emitted a faint light. My own fingers kept fiddling with the switch therefore I nearly dropped the machine the minute a tall guy walked in front of my path. A tiny knife glinted within his hand.

My impulse was to scream the moment I remembered the self defense spray. Well, it is non-lethal so here it goes, I stated to myself. I removed the cap to trigger the bright LED light. The person promptly covered his own eyes from the glare, and this was my opportunity. I pushed the actuator and sprayed.

The disguised pepper spray caught the part of his face not covered by his hand. He screamed in pain as it hit his eyes. They say the results are instant, but temporary. He began rubbing his face, likely because of the burning feeling. And very quickly, he began to cough uncontrollably.

I recall Stan saying the effects should wear away after about 45 minutes, tops. And I should not be bothered as it will not leave long-term injury. The second I saw he was not about to recover yet, I scurried away and ran, my hands cold, my heart pounding.

As soon as I was certain of my own safety, I slowed down and examined the Mace Pepper Gel Night Defender, still inside my trembling hand. Stan would be worried however proud of me after what happened. I was pretty pleased with myself, also.

Despite the fact that its effective range is up to 18 feet, my would-be enemy was most likely just five feet far from me. I believed the effect of the two-second burst I let loose is going to be pretty potent. That means I have around at least 10 more left, in case of a next time.

I am definitely thankful Stan insisted I carry a pepper spray for protection as it truly came in helpful today.

My other gal pals will certainly find the flashlight pepper spray combo helpful soon after they hear about my own experience.
